♡ I’m Molly Pelletier. I am a nutritionist and yoga instructor from Cape Cod, MA. I study Nutritional Science/Dietetics at Boston University. I release new science-based nutrition and health videos every Sunday week. In this video, I discuss some tips and tricks for eating healthy with acid reflux/GERD. It can be SO challenging to eat when lots of foods (spicy, acidic, fatty, etc) irritate acid reflux symptoms! It’s important to be aware of your individual triggers but not to become fearful and stressed around food. Food should be fun! I hope this video is helpful in learning more about acid reflux, GERD, IBS, healthy eating, and more.

  1. I'll definitely check out the Siete tortilla chips. I have been able to tolerate less and less foods lately and it is making me sad and disheartened. Hummus gives me diarrhea and alot of lower GI upset. I like it but can't eat it. I looked for that mung bean and edamame pasta and neither Walmart nor Kroger carry it. I may have to buy it from Amazon.

  2. Hi I have a question when you had gerd which is what my gastroenterologist diagnosed me with did you have chest pains on your left and arm and burping a lot also did you have to take Sucralfate with gerd and how long did it take you to be able to over come your gerd and chest pains if so?

  3. My favourite tea is done from Anethum graveolens(dill). It should be poured by boiled water and after boiled 3-5min. Using kitchen range. It is really good for meteorism I struggle with and this way help my acid reflux. Furthermore, it is super tasty and flavorful.

Another tasty tea option is tea from dog-rose (sweet brier). It is really good for driving with food. Supertasty. Really common tea in Ukraine.

    Highly recommend

Thanks for your video and sharing meal ideas 💡

  4. I have been struggling so much to find something for both acid reflux and IBS as I’ve suffered with IBS for years and my acid reflux has been getting worse recently (I experience it every day) so thank you for making this video – I am struggling so much with knowing what I can and can’t eat.

  5. I thought this would be a helpful video but almost everything your showing is inflammatory and contributes to the GERD n acid reflux that many of us suffer from. Coffee, Eggs, Animal products of all kinds, yogurt, bagels, n even beans n rice can be inflammatory in an unhealthy body..

  6. Thanks a lot for sharing these recipes. Its very challenging for people with reflux to find a food without trigger ingredients and your videos are helping us discover these things on grocery shelves. I wanted to ask you what kind of non-tomato based ketchup do you use with your snacks? I miss having a ketchup with sweet potato or regular fries.

  7. The list of things that make me feel sick is so overwhelming, that I feel like there's nothing that I can eat without feeling awful. Thank you for your videos, I will try to implement your wisdom into my life.

  8. The hardest thing for all of us Dealing with Acid reflex is finding recipes at least for me has been very hard.
Looking forward to more recipes. 😊

  9. Hi. I’ve just found your channel and I’ve read all the positive comments before watching the video. You take so much time to respond to people, I think that’s amazing. I noticed you have loads of other informative videos on this topic. Do you know much about diets for people with diverticulitis? I’m about to subscribe and binge watch your videos. Watch out for my thumps ups in support of your channel 😍

  10. Having just been diagnosed with reflux, I started looking at reflux videos for some direction. As my regular diet was on the ‘foods to avoid list, I felt kind of lost and depressed about how to manage my diet and what to eat. Luckily, your video popped up on my feed and I find your meal suggestions so helpful and I feel encouraged by your personal tips in managing reflux. I just subscribed, thank you so much, Molly!

  11. I love all of her videos! But I don’t think she would eat all of that at the time she was having moderate GERD 😳 I mean with a trying to heal esophagus that would do a little damaging loll

  12. I have lpr from hiatial hernia but also have hyperparathyroidism and am living on kale what else can i try i got symptoms when i ate egg whites, mushrooms, carrots, sweet potatoes, white potatoes, coconut protein bars,Chicken and turkey ,salmon, lobster, and cod.I find mushrooms, and all the melons also affect me as well as cucumber

  13. Thanks for the vid.

I quit booze over a year ago, but replaced it with coffee and junk foods.

Just went to urgent care cuz I a nasty heartburn and tightness on my chest. Doc put on prilosec for 8 weeks. I quit coffee, spicy foods, junk food, chocolate, and anything else that can trigger acid reflux. I'm on day 18. Looking for new foodies to try out. Feeling a lot better now.

  14. I really appreciate your insight and helpful suggestions, I have never had gut problems, but recently started feeling symptoms for IBS. My intestines feel very swollen and it’s painful. It must be stress related, and definitely annoying 😢Knowing what to eat to help it, makes it a little better. I still have to get a diagnosis! Wish me luck
